Boarding

We know that there are times when a neighbor watching your pet isn't enough. We offer boarding for both dogs and cats (other pets by special arrangements) in a safe and clean enviroment.

We require that all patients boarding with us are current on their Distemper vaccine, their Bordetella (Kennel cough) vaccine, as well as the Rabies vaccine.  Bordetella vaccine is required every 6 months, if your pet needs to be updated we are happy to do that while your pet stays with us.  If you are a West Ridge client we have these records. If we do not routinely vaccinate your pet, please bring the records along with you.

We have a flea free environment. This means that if fleas are seen on your pet we will administer a Capstar to kill all live fleas with in 24 hours, and apply a frontline for flea control at the owners expense.

When you drop your pet off for boarding please allow yourself some time to fill out paperwork with contact information and any special  facts we should know about your pet.

We routinely administer medication and are happy to do that if needed.

Also, pets that stay with us have the option of "Play Time."  This is a 15 minute block spent one on one with a kennel technician just playing!!  We can use this time to play catch, walk some extra time, or even just spend extra time giving love.  This option can be utilized up to 3 times daily or not at all.  With or without playtime the pets all are well taken care of.

Finally, after boarding, you may request a bath, this is optional, however, if your pet eliminates on him or herself and you have not requested a bath,  we must bathe your pet for a charge.

For Cats:

We provide them with clean bedding, Science Diet food, clean bowls, fresh water, clean litter pans, and lots of love!!  We have 2 larger kitty runs available as well as many smaller kennels. Each day we feed the cats and clean kennels at least twice a day (more often for the messy cats!) We let them each out to roam in the cattery for a while as well.  If you are boarding your cat, please feel free to bring with you any food, treats, toys, or other special items from home so both owner and cat will feel happy with the arrangements.  If your pet is on a special diet, you can either bring it along with you for the pet's stay, or purchase a bag, and we can send the remainder home with you after boarding.

For Dogs:

We provide them with clean bedding, Science Diet food, clean bowls, fresh water, and time outside in the exercise area 2 - 3 times per day.  We keep all the pets separate (unless the pets are from the same household), because we don't know how they all could react to each other.  We try and keep their schedule as close to what you do at home, so please bring anything that will help, like treats or toys or a special blankets. If your pet is on a special diet, you can either bring it along with you for the pet's stay, or purchase a bag, and we can send the remainder home with you after boarding.
